Captioning Workflows for Canvas Studio
Have an instructional video you've created? Is your college using Canvas Studio? Learn how to expedite your captioning workflow using Studio.
Video can be a powerful medium by which to communicate information, explain ideas, and demonstrate concepts. Ensuring that video and audio media is accessible to students and individuals with disabilities is necessary to not only meet accessibility requirements but to engage and reach all members of the campus community. Including accessibility practices into video media can also benefit non-native speakers, multimodal learners, or when viewing content in noisy areas.
This webinar will share the basic principles for video accessibility, the benefits of transcripts, how to leverage auto-captioning, and solutions for incorporating audio descriptions into your videos. We will also look at the impact media players can have on video accessibility. Bring your questions and discuss current strategies and solutions to support video accessibility.
Please join us. The Accessibility Office Hours offer the opportunity to ask questions and share best practices regarding web, document, and assistive technology accessibility issues. Audience participation is welcome!
