Finding and Prioritizing Web Documents using the Pope Tech Web tool | Managing the accessibility of hundreds or even thousands of documents posted on your websites can be overwhelming. In this monthly training, participants will learn how to leverage the Pope Tech Web tool’s reporting features to find PDFs, Word documents, and PowerPoints across their websites. Although the tool cannot directly verify accessibility of these documents, it can generate a list to prioritize your remediation efforts. Office for Civil Rights: Accommodations – what is required by federal disability law and what isn’t. | Do I have to provide extended time on all assignments as an accommodation? Must my college create remote/virtual classes for every subject as an accommodation? What if I already provide extra time for exams and quizzes? What about emotional support animals and service dogs - what is allowed in the classroom and what isn’t? Come hear a presentation from the chief attorney, Anamaria Loya, at the San Francisco regional office of the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights.
