Whether taking notes in a face-to-face class or when participating in synchronous online classes, students will still have a need to take and record class notes. The Otter.ai app can assist students with note taking by recording class lectures and presentations and converting that information into text.

 

Otter.ai is a tool that can automatically transcribe audio and video. In this interactive session, participants will download the Otter.ai app and review features such as recording a session, editing text, assigning speakers, and using keywords to search. Otter.ai offers a free version as well as premium versions that include syncing to your Zoom account video recordings, which can be automatically transcribed, edited, and saved.

 

To participate in the activities during this webinar, participants can set up a free Otter.ai account beforehand at https://otter.ai/login.

 

The Accessibility Office Hours offer the opportunity to ask questions and share best practices regarding web, document, and assistive technology accessibility issues. Audience participation is welcome!
